International Peace Day: Peace in the Refugee Camp .. Kiryandongo Rising
On September 22–23, the spirit of peace reached Kiryandongo refugee settlement in Bweyale District, home to over 20,000 refugees from Sudan, South Sudan, Congo, and Kenya. Activities were carried out with Sudanese refugee youth, women, and children, focusing on trauma recovery and building resilience.
The camp’s voices echoed a powerful truth: even in exile, Sudanese communities are determined to heal and rebuild.
