On International Women’s Day, the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy (NCPD) honors Sudanese women who bravely endure the horrors of war. This day is a reminder of our commitment to defending women’s rights, empowering them, and ensuring their active role in building a peaceful, democratic, and just Sudan.

Sudanese women have borne the heaviest burdens of conflict, facing displacement, sexual violence, and denial of justice and essential services. Their resilience, courage, and leadership are pivotal for the country’s future.

NCPD calls on regional and international communities, humanitarian organizations, and women’s rights movements to support Sudanese women, protect their lives, and ensure their full participation in shaping a just and sustainable peace.
