Nubian Center Joins 31 Organizations in Condemning Mass Killings in Sudan

The Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy joins 31 human rights organizations in condemning ethnically targeted violence in Sudan, calling for an immediate halt to extrajudicial killings, the protection of civilians, and accountability for perpetrators, while ending the suffering of women, children, and the elderly.

Kampala, 7 April 2025

Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy (NCPD) has joined 31 human rights organizations in a joint statement condemning the ongoing extrajudicial killings and ethnically targeted violence in Sudan, particularly after Khartoum was recaptured by the Sudanese Armed Forces.

Civilians, including women, children, and the elderly, continue to suffer horrific attacks, raising fears of a large-scale atrocity reminiscent of the Rwandan genocide. NCPD calls on the parties to the conflict to immediately halt these crimes, and urges the African Union and the international community to protect civilians and ensure accountability.
