Nubian Center Marks International Youth Day: Sudanese Youth – Leaders of Today, Builders of Tomorrow

“Sudanese youth are a ray of hope in the darkness, leaders of today shaping the future of tomorrow. Despite war, displacement, and collapsing institutions, they continue to resist, create, and build positive change. Supporting, protecting, and amplifying their voices is not a luxury-it is a human duty and a tool for achieving peace and justice. They are not just the hope of tomorrow; they are today’s leaders, shaping their country’s future with courage, creativity, and determination.”

On International Youth Day, the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy (NCPD) honors the resilience and courage of Sudanese youth, who face war, displacement, and institutional collapse. Despite these challenges, young Sudanese inside the country and in the diaspora continue to generate hope, resist oppression, and drive positive change.

The Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy calls for an immediate end to the conflict, protection of youth spaces, urgent psychosocial support, and meaningful inclusion of youth in all peace and development initiatives. Sudanese youth are not just the hope of tomorrow—they are the leaders of today, shaping their future with courage, creativity, and determination.
