Amani Ibrahim: 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

Amani Ibrahim says:

I believe in a world where every woman and girl can live safely, pursue her dreams, and thrive in dignity and equality. Together, let us stand united to end violence against women and girls, once and for all.”

“Through the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, we raise our voices to shed light on the many forms of violence that women and girls continue to endure-domestic violence, harassment, forced and child marriage, and the harmful practice of female genital mutilation. These are not isolated incidents; they are widespread violations of fundamental human rights, perpetuated by silence, stigma, and inequality.

We refuse to accept a world where women and girls are left without protection. We demand strong and effective laws that safeguard their rights, ensure justice, and hold perpetrators accountable. Beyond laws, we call for resources, shelters, and services that empower survivors to heal, rebuild their lives, and access justice with dignity.

This campaign is more than just 16 days-it is a call for global solidarity, for collective action that transcends borders, cultures, and communities. It is an opportunity to open a conversation that should never end: the conversation about women’s rights, equality, and our shared responsibility to create a future free from violence.

I believe in a world where every woman and girl can live safely, pursue her dreams, and thrive in dignity and equality. Together, let us stand united to end violence against women and girls, once and for all.”
