Nubian Center Issues Urgent Appeal to Save Sudanese Refugees and Support Host Communities

Amid the escalating humanitarian crisis resulting from the war in Sudan, the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy has issued an urgent appeal to the international community for immediate intervention to save the lives of millions of Sudanese refugees who are fleeing daily to South Sudan and Uganda.

The Center emphasizes that the scale of the tragedy has surpassed conceivable humanitarian limits, with refugees facing harsh and life-threatening conditions, while host communities are bearing burdens far beyond their limited capacities. It stressed that urgent action is not merely an option but a moral obligation and an urgent humanitarian necessity.

The Center underscores that the world today faces a true test of humanity, calling on governments, as well as international and regional organizations, to mobilize efforts and resources to protect lives and uphold human dignity.
