Amani Ibrahim: 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

Amani Ibrahim says:

“In a challenging world, achieving justice and protecting the rights of Sudanese women remains an urgent priority. Violence in all its forms-physical, psychological, sexual, or economic-impedes societal progress and hinders the realization of human dignity and equality.”

Through the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, we call on governments, institutions, and communities to take decisive action: strengthening laws, raising awareness, and empowering women to claim their rights. Only through collective action can we build a just and safe environment where dignity prevails, justice is upheld, and truth guides our steps toward a better future for all.

As I always say: ‘The elimination of violence is the balance of justice, the fortress of rights, and the sword of truth that cuts off injustice.’ Let this be our guiding principle in standing with survivors and transforming our society.”
