Capacity-Building Workshop Concludes with Visit from U.S. Special Envoy to Sudan
The capacity-building workshop, organized by the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy in collaboration with the African Organization, concluded after two days of intensive training (November 11–12, 2024) on creating collaborative projects using directed writing techniques.
A highlight of the closing ceremony was the visit of Mr. Tom Perriello, U.S. Special Envoy to Sudan, who toured the workshop, engaged with participants, and praised their creativity, innovation, and collaborative spirit.
Participants expressed their deep gratitude to the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy, emphasizing that the workshop equipped them with the knowledge and tools to transform ideas into practical projects, while also enhancing their teamwork and leadership skills.
Mr. Perriello also commended the efforts of the youth and partner organizations, reaffirming the United States’ support for initiatives aimed at ending the war in Sudan, delivering humanitarian aid, and fostering peace.
