Capacity Building Workshop – Third Batch.
“Project Co-Creation using a guided writing skills methodology”
November 11–12, 2024

The third session of the Youth Capacity-Building Workshop kicked off at AFORD’s headquarters in Kampala, organized by the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy in partnership with AFORD.
Held over two days, the workshop (November 11–12, 2024) aimed to empower young participants to design and implement collaborative projects using the Guided Writing Skills methodology, while providing practical tools for project planning and management. This initiative underscores the organization’s commitment to youth leadership, civic engagement, and sustainable development in Sudan.

On the first day, participants were introduced to the concepts of logical frameworks and project cycle management, gaining essential knowledge for project design, strategic planning, and effective resource management. The sessions emphasized teamwork and collaboration, inspiring participants to take on leadership roles within their communities and contribute meaningfully to Sudan’s development.

The second day focused on project budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, and progress reporting. Participants learned how to measure project impact, derive lessons learned, and enhance future initiatives. They also completed practical assessments to apply their newly acquired skills, marking a significant leap in both their project management expertise and creative abilities.
