Nubian Center Urges Urgent Action: Document Crimes and Support Sudan Fact-Finding Mission
“There can be no peace without justice, and no justice without the voices of the victims. The testimonies of survivors are a bridge to truth and the foundation for the justice and reconciliation the Sudanese people deserve. Documenting crimes and violations is not only a human rights duty but a courageous act in the face of fear and silence—a message to the world that the suffering of Sudan’s people will not be forgotten, and justice will never expire.”

The Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy, in partnership with civil society organizations, calls on victims, survivors, witnesses, and human rights defenders to break the silence and submit verified testimonies of atrocities in Sudan since 15 April 2023. This call comes in full support of the Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Sudan (FFM Sudan) and the opening statement by UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr. Volker Türk, at the Human Rights Council.
The Center condemns ongoing violations—including sexual violence, ethnically targeted attacks, indiscriminate shelling, forced displacement, and obstruction of humanitarian aid—and holds authorities accountable for protecting civilians and allowing the Mission full access.
All testimonies can be securely submitted to the Mission via: submissions-ffmsudan@un.org or ffmsudan@un.org, or through UN offices in Port Sudan, Nairobi, or Geneva. The final deadline is 30 June 2025.
“No peace without justice, and no justice without the voices of the victims,” the Center emphasizes, urging civil society to document, preserve, and protect evidence, and to support survivors in their pursuit of truth and accountability.
