Sudanese Human Rights Under Spotlight on International Human Rights Day
“Amid the ongoing war in Sudan, civilians face severe violations that threaten their lives and dignity. Protecting human rights is more urgent than ever, including the right to life, security, and justice. The Sudanese people need immediate international support, sustainable solutions, and genuine efforts to end conflicts, empower communities, and build a peaceful and just future where every individual can live with dignity and freedom without discrimination.”
On December 10, the Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy highlighted the severe challenges facing civilians in Sudan, who continue to endure the devastating impacts of ongoing war, forced displacement, and widespread human rights violations.
The urgent need for all warring parties to cease hostilities, protect civilians, and engage in serious dialogue to achieve lasting peace was emphasized. The international community is called upon to provide immediate humanitarian support and ensure accountability for those committing serious human rights violations.

The Center seeks to amplify Sudanese voices in international forums, support their rights, and encourage initiatives aimed at building a peaceful and just future for all Sudanese communities, focusing on civilian protection and alleviating suffering.
The Nubian Center for Peace and Democracy continues its efforts to promote human rights in Sudan through awareness, advocacy, and support for local and international initiatives striving for justice and peace.
